Genie Chuo expressed that this year was her eighth year in the industry and at the same time, she would release her treasured collection album <1+1 Play n Fun>. Besides witnessing Genie’s transformation as a star, the treasured collection includes 23 songs, a gift to remember her 23rd birthday. In addition, today she will be involved in activities as an endorser of the Red Cross Foundation for the fifth consecutive year making her feel even more, that her life is filled with endless “1+1″, like music, charity and the love of fans; her life has become more beautiful and more meaningful.

At the press conference, Genie, Red Cross Foundation’s secretary-general Wang Xiu-wan and Check Fun ??? represented Deputy Manager Yang Hui-jing in announcing “Love’s 1+1″ loose change charity event. Right now, when you donate $1 to Check Fun for the charity activity, Genie will also donate $1, hoping to be able to raise $3 million for the Red Cross Foundation to feed starving children. Xuan Xuan said that although she has limited financial power, donating loose change shouldn’t be a problem but if everyone decided to donate $1000, then she might not have money for food. However for those poor children, starving for a few meals is still worth it!

Genie also revealed that on December 12 she will be holding a “PLAY MUSIC?1+1?” concert at Xi Men Riverside. She will be moving her “house” to the concert. Besides bringing the sofa, desk, wardrobe and bathtub, Xuan Xuan is currently discussing with a plumber about whether or not she can bring her toilet along too! At the concert, besides being able to hear her treasured songs, Xuan Xuan will also be playing with a band for the first time and sing to the very end non-stop. She will be performing many Mandarin and Taiwanese classics from music kings and queens and in foreign languages too. She will also take on the challenge of changing in front of the audience in her “home”. She laughed saying, “Since fans are coming to my ‘home’ to hear me sing, then everyone should all come in their pyjamas!”

However, regarding whether or not there will be any special mystery guests coming to the concert, Genie had her lips sealed, “Those that should be invited will be cordially invited so I think that those who should come will also come! I’ve already make my ‘home’ public so unless good friends have issues at their ‘home’, they will definitely come to join in the fun!”

In regards to many artists also holding concerts at the end of the year, in particular Genie’s concert clashing with Grasshopper’s concert, she said that she isn’t worried because although they have three fierce guys, Genie’s concert will have eight fierce girls but she can’t reveal what type of fierce girls yet only that everyone “will be very shocked”. When asked whether she was worried about ticket sales, Genie also said, “Ticket sales aren’t most important! All the royalties will be going to charity! On the contrary, I’m anticipating being able to be with all the fans that have accompanied me these past eight years, gathered together to experience the warmth of ‘home’.”

The love life of Xuan Xuan who hasn’t had a boyfriend for over a year, has received lots of attention. Although many people like her, no-one has made a move. Reporters were not afraid to ask whether she feels lonely. Genie replied that she has been too focussed on work. If there were a lover that could be summoned at any time, she would consider renting one! Because her work is too hectic, if she could rent a lover, she could have someone be with her when she needed them and she wouldn’t have to tell him where she was going or what she’s done and she could be even more focussed on work.
